"Combe Down is a lovely quiet area. Where we live is a lane just off North Road. So quiet with not much traffic other than the ones who live in the lane. You are within one mile of the beautiful woodland walks which is National trust land. Combe Down also has a great Park and a Scouts club. We have our local pub just half a mile walk away called the Hadley. Don’t be fooled by the outside, inside there is a lovely beer garden and warm atmosphere inside. They do food at lunch times and on a Sunday you can enjoy a supper Roast dinner cooked by Carol, everything veg wise comes out in piping hot dishes to serve yourself, all for the price of just £11.00 and a choice of 3 meats! Best and cheapest price to eat in Bath, but you have to book. As for the Doctors, they are brilliant, can’t fault them at all. We have two Doctors surgeries in the area, the other being in Odd down and they are both the same Doctors. The schools are very good and well thought after, and we now have the Hub Center just up the road about half a mile away where they do great food and snacks and coffees where you can meet up with friends over a nice coffee and a chat. They also have projects at the hub that you can join. We have a lovely sports Rugby club, where they have younger and older teams. A great cricket club, and Odd Down has a Football club and social club where you can join. Buses run into Bath city every half hour. If you are a resident of bath then you can go into the local council and obtain a Discovery card which enables you to have free entry to the Roman Baths and other, also discounts on some places to eat out in Bath. There are some great parks in Bath for where you can take the Children. Cycling paths and walking along the beautiful canals. We love it here. What’s not to like!! 🥰" Best traits of Combe Down: Community Local amenities Local walking routes Low crime School choice OtherHelp the community - leave a review of Combe Down!
