"As you can see by the statistics Inverkeithing is a safe town, in a perfect location for 2 cities (Edinburgh 20 minutes away and Dunfermline 10 minutes away) but also nature, beaches, cute villages nearby. I do enjoy living here and can't see myself moving any time soon as property is a bargain considering how perfect the location is." "Inverkeithing is next to Edinburgh's famous Forth Bridges and is very easy and quick to commute to Edinburgh City centre" Best traits of Inverkeithing: Community Commute options Local amenities Local walking routes Low crime Scenery School choiceMr James H. "Inverkeithing is lovely mid-sized coastal town on the Firth of Forth, just outside of Edinburgh and Dunfermline. It is a part medieval historic town, the high street is a conservation area. Highlights include the nice sandy Inverkeithing bay beach, the Fife Coastal Path, Letham Hill forest, Ballast Bank public park, the oldest medieval Friary in Scotland and views over the capital Edinburgh from the Friary gardens and the Community Gardens. Public transport is fantastic in the town, with direct trains to Edinburgh, London Kings Cross, York, Aberdeen & buses through the town to Edinburgh, St. Andrews, etc. Also the town is closeby some other beautiful towns like South Queensferry, Aberdour and Limekilns." "Excellent commuting town, as it has one of the quickest commutes into Edinburgh City centre of all the commuting towns (less than 15 - 19 minutes to Haymarket station for example) with constant supply of trains and buses to the capital, a quick drive and quick commute to Edinburgh airport. As for the town itself it is nice, plenty of lovely nature and walks about along the coast, nearby beaches, forest etc. Being near North / South Queensferry brings some lovely walks and recreation. Local amenities are spread between the towns of Dalgety Bay and Inverkeithing where you can easily walk between them. I would really recommend life in Inverkeithing, I started out here in 1998 and doubt I will move any time soon!" Best traits of Inverkeithing: Community Commute options Low crime Scenerykate. "lovely local community with allotments, civic centre, library, bowling club and the highland games in summer. quite beautiful walks on the coastal path through the town towards dalgety bay and aberdour. for a smaller town its great for shops because dalgety bay is within walking distance and has your big supermarket stores and in town theres a large scotmid and a post office and other smaller shops. good nhs inverkeithing medical centre in town centre. safe town for families and decent schooling at the high school. downside is just like all of scotland cold winters!!!"
