Brighton is a beautiful town, sloping down towards the sea, with so much to offer for someone looking to move to the coast. Why should you pack up and relocate to beautiful Brighton? We’ve come up with the top five reasons you should consider it a serious

1) It’s well connected

If you are leaving London for pastures new, but still need to get into the office, Brighton could be the ideal commuter spot! You get the best of both worlds while (depending on which part of London you work in) you may spend less time commuting to London than if you lived in the capital city itself. You can get to London Victoria in only fifty-five minutes by train, and you’re less than half an hour from Gatwick airport if you need to travel further afield. It’s also a breeze to get to Portsmouth, Chichester, and other great places from bustling Brighton.

2) It’s scenic

Pack your walking shoes! As well as the gorgeous (if pebbly) beach, Brighton has so much to offer in the way of walking. If you have a dog, you know it will be a very happy pup! Exploring the city is one option, but the rolling South Downs are right on your doorstep, so you can really get into nature quickly.

3) It’s got pride

As the unofficial gay capital of the country, the city boasts a diverse population that ensures living in Brighton is never boring! As well as feeling like a safe, accepting community for people from all walks of life, the celebrations and events that go on throughout the year for the LGBTQIA+ community are a great way to get involved in the culture of the city and meet new people.

4) It’s a shopping paradise

You’ve surely heard of the Lanes, right? Brighton’s premier shopping district is just as fun, unusual, and full of treasures as you might expect. Head into the different areas of Brighton and you will find an array of different shops and eateries, as well as a very modern mall. Whether you want to hang out at an independent coffee shop or find the latest high street styles, Brighton has a shopping spot for you!

5) It’s perfect for families

If you are moving to Brighton with one eye on raising a family, it’s a great choice. Brighton has a number of good schools, and with the property market being that bit more affordable than London, you could find the perfect place to live for less. Being close to the beach is a bonus for families, but there is also so much to see and do that weekends will never be boring again. From the Royal Pavilion to events at the Brighton Dome, you will have plenty to get up to, whatever your age. Brighton really does have something for everyone.
